Lead Group Facilitator of the Wellbeing Workshops, Chinese Mental Health Association (Oct 2015 - Apr 2016)

  • Worked in partnership with Barnet Multilingual Wellbeing Service, IAPT NHS Service

  • Designed and delivered wellbeing workshops to treat anxiety and depression in the elderly Chinese population as well as in other minority groups through a stepped care approach based on NICE guidelines.

  • Facilitated groups of 5-16 people.

  • Topics covered: 5 ways to well-being, setting SMART goals, building resilience, increasing motivation, sleep hygiene, healthy eating and physical exercise, managing depression, building healthy relationships, cultural differences sense of belonging, building a healthy self-esteem, anxiety in later life etc.


Assistant Practitioner, Camden & Islington NHS Foundation Trust (Sept 2012 - Jan 2016)

  • Worked in a Recovery and Rehabilitation service for individuals diagnosed with enduring and complex mental illness

  • Lead the Wellbeing Programme and specialised seminars, designed and delivered them to groups of service users (10-15max)

  • Topics included: Managing depression, anxiety, sleep, improving physical health, finding work and transferring your skills.

  • One to one work using the Recovery STAR model combined with High and Low Intensity psychological recovery based interventions eg. Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), Solution Focused, Mindfulness, Relaxation Techniques, Psycho- Education, Guided Self Help, Internet based programs for depression and anxiety, Books and Exercises to help service users to manage their symptoms and improve their wellbeing.

  • Developed Crisis Plans and carried out Risk Assessments, Physical Health Care Assessments, Clustering and Reviews leading to the identification of the client’s care needs and Care Planning.

  • Offered one to one support for smoking cessation.
